  I was excited to get home from work today and bird. Instant gradification when I see a red-tailed hawk perched high in a tree over the creek. Absolutely gorgeous, this bird is huge. And thanks to it's positioning I was able to see all her markings and tail perfectly. How i wish my mom was here to phtograph this bird. A great blue heron flew over the creek for the first time today. Funny how easily I'm amazed by the birds. Off work tomorrow and thurs. Hopeful for some good birding. The winds have been southerly for two days coming up from the gulf.
